Notice of Company Name Change

We are pleased to announce that our company will change its name as follows, effective January 1, 2025.

This change was approved at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders held on November 28, 2024, and is being formally

announced today.

 

New Company Name:

Mitsui Energy Development Co., Ltd.

 

Reason for the Change:

Since our establishment in July 1969, we have contributed to the stable supply of energy for over 50 years through the exploration,

development, and production of oil and natural gas. In response to recent global business environment changes, the trend towards

decarbonization, and the diversification of energy supply, our business areas have expanded to include renewable energies such

as geothermal energy.

 

In light of these circumstances, we have decided to change our company name to "Mitsui Energy Development Co., Ltd." to clearly

reflect our business activities and the direction we aim to pursue.

 

Moreover, our logo "MOECO," which is well recognized both domestically and internationally, will continue to be used even after the

company name change.

 

Under our new company name, we will continue to strive towards our mission of " Contribute for sustainable society through the

development of tomorrow's energy."  in collaboration with all our stakeholders. We appreciate your continued support and look forward

to working together towards a sustainable future.
