Response to the Novel Coronavirus Disease

To prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infection, Mitsui Oil Exploration CO., LTD. decided that
employees at Tokyo head office would work remotely starting on February 28, 2020, excluding personnel who are required to go to
the office for the continuity of business and operations. We will implement necessary measures such as limits on non-essential
meetings, business meals and business trips.

To minimize the impact, we will continue to monitor COVID-19 situation closely and will take necessary measures against COVID-19
in accordance with the Japanese government's policy.
