Informal Decision on Appointment of Representative Director and President

Mitsui Oil Exploration Co., Ltd. hereby announces that at its February 12 meeting its Board of Directors made an informal decision on
the appointment of a Representative Director and President as follows.

The newly appointed Representative Director and President will take office on April 1, 2020 after the proceedings for the election of
a director and for the election of the representative director and president in accordance with the Articles of Incorporation,
the Regulations on Directors and the Regulations of the Organization.
