Licence Award in the UK's 30th Offshore Licensing Round

Mitsui Oil Exploration Co., Ltd. ("MOECO", Head Office: Tokyo, President & CEO: Hiroyuki Tsurugi) is pleased to announce that Mitsui E&P UK Limited ("MEPUK"), which is our affiliated company in the United Kingdom, jointly established with Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Tokyo, President & CEO: Tatsuo Yasunaga), has been awarded a 26.67% working interest in Licence P2385 on the UK Continental Shelf in the UK's 30th Offshore Licensing Round. This licence is adjacent to the southern part of Block 22/19c in which MEPUK has been a participant since 2016.

The relevant Participating Interests in Licence P2385 are as follows:

Mitsui E&P UK Limited	26.67%
Eni UK Limited (Operator)	53.33%
Serica Energy (UK) Limited	20.00%
