MOECO provides financial support in southern Vietnam

Mitsui Oil Exploration Co., Ltd. (MOECO) and its partners in an offshore gas development and gas-to-power project in Vietnam, Chevron Vietnam Ltd. (Chevron), Petro Vietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP) and PTT Exploration and Production Public Company (PTTEP), have all agreed to donate $150,000 to the National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) .
Through the NFVC, a scholarship will be granted to more than 800 children and 5 schools are scheduled to be upgraded in Ca Mau, Kien Giang, Bac Lieu and Hau Giang provinces, and the City of Can Tho.
MOECO, Chevron, PVEP and PTTEP are continuing their support through the NFVC having already provided scholarships to more than 2,300 children since 2009 and upgraded 10 school facilities in the past 2 years. MOECO and its partners will continue to assist underprivileged children and provide better education opportunities to the local communities for the future development of Vietnam.
National Fund For Vietnamese Children
The National Fund for Vietnamese Children was formed in 1992 pursuant to the Law on Protection and Care of Children. The principal goals and objectives of the NFVC are to make full use of all resources to realize the specific goals of the National Action Program for Vietnamese Children, in which special priorities are given to poor, disadvantaged and disabled children.
