MOECO provides financial support to affected children of the Great East Japan Earthquake

Based on our deep philanthropy spirit to our nation and people, after one year of the Great East Japan Earthquake on March last year, we had decided to further extend our heartfelt condolences to all of the victims of the Earthquake.

On 30 March 2012, Mitsui Oil Exploration Co., Ltd donated a total 10 Million Yen to following three Funds established by Miyagi, Iwate and Fukushima Prefectures to aid children who lost their parents through the Earthquake or Tsunami. The Funds were established and designed to provide the stable life to these affected children and to ensure possible available choices of the course in their school life.
We express our earnest wish for the earliest recovery of the Tohoku region, as well as the safety and well-being of the residents there.

The name of the Funds and the amount of donation are as follows;
・ Higashi Nihon Daishinsai Miyagi Kodomo Ikuei Bokin: 4 Million Yen
・ IWATE Learning Hope Fund: 3 Million Yen
・ Fukushima Donation for Orphans affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake: 3 Million Yen
