Safety, Health and Environment Award

Safety, Health and Environment Award (SHE Award) program was conducted by the Department of Mineral Fuels (DMF), Ministry of Energy this year, and on September 17, 2015, Siam Moeco Ltd. (SML; MOECO's 100% subsidiary operating onshore in Thailand), was presented the highest level of "Excellent" by Khun Puangthip Silpasart, the Director General. This highest level was awarded as well as Chevron, PTTEP, and ExxonMobil, etc.

The SHE Award program was undertaken to audit E&P operating companies based on three international management system standards, the ISO 14001 environmental management standard, the OHSAS 18001 occupational health and safety management standard, and the ISO 29001 standard, which is a sector-specific quality management system standard for the petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries.

SML was audited on two occasions by the SHE Award audit team, which included auditors from TUV Nord. On May 18, the DMF SHE Award audit team visited the Bangkok office, and conducted a document audit for the HSE management system. On July 13 and 14, the DMF SHE Award audit team audited the Burapa-A production site's implementation.

Utilizing the experience SML has cultivated up until now, MOECO aims to undertake new operator ventures around the globe.
